A really cool comedy club & restaurant that I worked in way back in 1987. Great location on Pier 17 in Lower Manhattan. Moved to Times Square in the 90's and still going strong by all accounts

"Caroline Hirsch is opening a branch of her well-known Manhattan comedy club, Caroline's, at the South Street Seaport shopping mall in lower Manhattan, and this time she will be serving food along with the jokes. The new Caroline's occupies 10,000 square feet of space on two floors of the Link Building at Pier 17, which juts into the East River in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge. Two large kitchens will turn out meals and snacks for the 200-seat comedy club and a 15-seat full-service restaurant on the second floor and a bar with a 150-seat outdoor cafe on the first floor. The comedy club and restaurant are separated by a raw bar, a lounge, and an open grill station."
