Really looking for a picture of Save the Robots as it was some time ago. What a mad place and a perfect encapsulation of Alphabet City. A for Adventurous - B for Brave C for Crazy - D for Dead

"Now that it's coming up on three o'clock, get ready for the really wild stuff: Save the Robots on Avenue B. The only real dance after hours downtown. If you get there before 4 o'clock, you can get a drink after that, it's strictly water and juice. If you don't arrive in time, you had better get out your smiley button, particularly if you want to hang upstairs. Save the Robots is open until you drop. Sometimes the Techno in the basement works through the smoky haze of that awful stuff they pump into the windowless, exitless pit. At other times, I'd rather sit with the tripping kids upstairs and the World music. When you have had enough fun, watch your back and mosey on up to the Sidewalk Cafe on Avenue A for breakfast. It's cheap and open 24 hours. You have to use the floor as an ashtray, but it's a good place to watch the suits on their way to work."
